Food Fun

Let’s face it feeding a toddler could be considered an Olympic support. Between the pickiness and ever changing opinions it’s hard to keep up. So, call me a sucker but I’ve turned meal time into a craft some days because everyone has to eat.

Below are a few of our latest mealtime creations. Each has been surprisingly easy and every last bite has been eaten by our little princess. It’s a win-win in my book.

Fox Sandwich

A toasted peanut butter sandwich for the head accompanied with cheez-its for the body and carrots for the tail. A few mini chocolate chips for the nose and paws.

Poppy Pancake

Add a little food coloring to the pancake batter and pour desired shapes. Seriously these were the cutest. We used strawberries to make her dress and blackberries for her headband. My daughter devoured this meal up.

Bunny Pancakes

Again, just pour the pancakes in desired shapes and create away. We used whipped cream and fruit for the accents.

What have you been doing to get your kiddos to eat??

Valentine’s Day Party Finds

Last night I had the privilege of strolling through Target, solo. An exciting trip out for me because I can actually take my time looking at things. However, extremely dangerous for my bank account. As usual the $1 area pulled me in for the sucker that I am. Let’s start by realizing not everything in that area is $1. It ranges from $1-$5, so that gets a little tricky when you’re throwing things in the cart like candy at a parade. Last night though, I found some amazing Valentine’s items for my kiddos at home and for the kiddos at school.

$1 Felt Envelopes

How precious are these?!? Nothing like saying Happy Valentine’s Day to a two year old than with the worlds largest card. She will be obsessed with putting all of her little toys in here. I don’t know if you have kid that’s obsessed with tiny toys like mini trolls and shopkins, but if they are this is the perfect hiding place for them.

Heart Shaped Notebooks:

My little artist absolutely loves to draw in notebooks. She’s going to love this heart-shaped one. So, so simple yet so much fun for her.

Pre-made Valentines

As a teacher, it really doesn’t get better than this. These Valentine’s come with super cute phrases and adorable erasers to match. I literally just have to write my name and call it good. Best part, student receive a card and a practical eraser ((instead of candy)) for a total of $3.

Heart Bubbles & Necklaces

What little kiddo isn’t a fan of bubbles?!? These are the perfect size and they can be worn as a necklace. Splurged and purchased the heart shaped necklace beads as well.

I was able to find all these goodies and spend a total of $12. My little bears are totally ready for the party at daycare next week and I didn’t break the bank. What did you purchase for Valentine’s Day this year for the parties?? Drop a comment below.

Heart-Shaped Gummies

Target’s brand, Market Pantry has made heart-shaped gummies for Valentine’s Day. A pack of 30 only costs $6. That’s a steal.

P.S. The adorable letter-board in the picture was also from Targets dollar deal section. I believe it was $5, but worth every penny. So trendy and so chic.
